After discussing cultural attractions in our last blog this is will be about the rest of attractions full of activities and entertainment including workshops, park, market, sport, and more.
1. Muay Thai Live Show
One of Thailand’s most famous sports the stadium we are all heard of is Rajadamnern Stadium. You can experience the fight on Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu evenings with only 1,800–2,000 THB for tickets. Once you enter you will see the fight unlike others with authentic atmosphere and true Muay Thai fans. Highly recommended by locals and tourists alike. After the fight you might even want to find a Muay Thai gym and practice it yourself.
2. Wachirabenchathat Park
Suan Rot Fai or Train Park is located near Chatuchak market It was previously the State Railway of Thailand’s golf course and was converted into a public park with vast green space there are plenty of activities you can do like jogging, walking, rent a bicycle, picnic, or play some sports in the park there are basket ball court, soccer field, badminton court for you to try. Surrounded by trees and animals it’s a peaceful spot you can relax in
3.Chatuchak Weekend Market
We can’t go to Wachirabenchathat Park without checking Chatuchak weekend market, it’s open differently based on the day Wednesday and Thursday 7am-6pm (Plant section only), Friday 6pm-12pm (Wholesale only), and Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm (Whole Market open). Usually, people go there on weekends to shop, there are many things to look forward to like plants, clothes, local products, food, art, books, and even animals. It’s easy to get to the location connected to both BTS and MRT.
4. The Artist’s House (Baan Silapin)
The beautiful preserved 200-year-old wooden home turned into creative space located on the banks of Khlong Bang Luang in Thonburi. The house features Manila style architecture, art studio, puppet theater, and a riverside café. You can join art and craft workshops creating your own bracelet, do some sketches, and paint masks. You can also enjoy Thai traditional puppet show at 02.00 PM. Except on Wednesdays. It’s free to enter and open daily from 09.00 AM- 06.00 PM.
5. Siam Amazing Park
The largest amusement and water park in Bangkok, located in the Khan Na Yao district, it offers a wide range of attractions suitable for visitors of all ages. If you are looking to enjoy yourself and have the most fun time in Bangkok this is the destination for you It features varieties of attractions mentioned, from looping coasters, free-fall drop tower rides, roller coasters, water park with tall slides and other adventure attractions. It’s open daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM but the water park closes at 5:00 PM

6. China Town
Bangkok’s China Town, known as Yaowarat, is a neighborhood blends rich cultural heritage with modern urban energy. It’s where people come for street food, with lots of street food stalls/restaurants. The best time to visit is Evening (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM). Here are some streets food stalls you can find at China Town.
- Nai Mong Hoi Tod (Nai Mong Oyster Omelet)
- Guay Jub Mr. Joe (rolled rice noodle soup with peppery broth and crispy pork)
- Yaowarat Toasted Bread
- Kim Lee (Dim Sum & Chinese Pastries)
7. Lumphini Park
Bangkok’s largest and most popular public park, offering a refreshing green oasis in the heart of the city. There are many activities you can do here such as Tai Chi, aerobics, jogging, and group exercises. Some visitors practice yoga in the open areas after 8 PM, and occasionally there will be live music performances. You can also rent a paddle boat for 40 THB. One of the things most people wish to see here is Monitor Lizards, there are almost 400 of them at Lumpini park.
8. ICONSIAM
Thailand biggest shopping mall in Bangkok with riverside view, it’s also a massive mix-use complex combining a luxury shopping mall, cultural zones, residences, and entertainment. You can spend your entire day here shopping, dining, and enjoying the view. Many luxury shops are here along with famous restaurants. It’s open daily from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM like most shopping mall in Thailand.
9. SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
An indoor aquarium located within Siam Paragon one of Thailand popular shopping center. It’s where families come during their free time, you can find an Ocean tunnel, Penguin Playground, Jellyfish, Sharks, and so many seas life here the ticket price are Adult (12+): ฿981; Child (2–11): ฿801 and there are also many more bundle with discount such as big ticket bundle which includes a ticket for Madame Tussauds Bangkok, or Discovery Package which includes entry to the aquarium, 4D cinema show, Glass Bottom Boat experience, digital photo, and a Pepsi & popcorn set.
10. Khao San Road
Thailand famous nightlife district with casual and budget friendly bar all around, you can find people from everywhere hanging out here. There are a lot of bars for you to select and sometimes there will be street performers for you to enjoy while clubbing with your friends or new faces you may find here.
There are many more beautiful temples, parks, shopping, and clubs for you to explore in Bangkok, we could not cover them all. We hope this will help you get a glimpse of how Bangkok is and how most locals spend their weekends.
