With the first month of 2026 is almost over and this year more international events are coming to Thailand, for us to help promote tourism in Thailand we would like to give you a list of what kinds of international and big events are being held in Thailand throughout the year of 2026. As you may know Thailand is a center of attention in Southeast Asian when it comes to tourist destination. Which means that events and concert are eyes to held in different parts of Thailand like Pattaya or Bangkok. This included famous concert, big sport events, national conference and even theater shows. Let us show you some of the events that will definitely happen in Thailand this year.
1. DISNEY ON ICE PRESENTS MAGIC IN THE STARS
We are starting with a magical show that we all dream to be a part of since we were a child, this year Disney is hosting Disney on Ice once again in Thailand with the name Magic in the stars. The ticket is on sale for early birds now with 15% discount and the early bird will end on 31st January. The show starts on 27 March – 5 April 2026 with the number of the famous characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy through timeless tales and today’s favorites. 2. Tomorrowland Thailand 2026
As mentioned in the last blog, this is the first time for Tomorrowland to be held in Asia, if you are a fan of this Huge international electronic music festival with world-class DJs and immersive stages you can not miss this festival. Tomorrowland 2026 will be held on Dec 11–13, 2026
3. SMTOWN LIVE 2026
For those who are K-pop fans this one is a big concert by SMTONWN featuring EXO, NCT127, Girls’ Generation members, etc. It’s a once in a lifetime concert for K-Pop fans to experience. 4. S2O Festival 2026
You can not talk about big festival in Thailand without mentioning S2O, one of the biggest Songkran Music festivals held in Thailand for many years. Most tourist come to Thailand during the Songkran festival just to join S2O. If you are a fan of Songkran and EDM this festival is for you. The date is yet to be announced but most likely to happen during the Songkran festival.
5. Japan Expo Thailand 2026
This is a Japan pop culture expo with performances, cosplay & stars and the Biggest All Japan Event in Asia, under the theme “Japan Thai United as One” at this event you can find many Japan and Thai pop culture and soft power waiting for you. You will be surrounded by foods, show, cosplayers, and Japan culture, business, and technology booths. Plus, this year they also invite Japan most popular idol band AKB48 to show a mini concert at the event. If you love both Thailand and Japan do not miss this opportunity. The event is hosted at Central wOrld on 6-8 February 2026.
There is still more event that will happen in Thailand that are officially announced like Miss Grand Thailand 2026, TREASURE Plus One World Tour (Bangkok), My Chemical Romance Concert and more yet to be announced events. We believe that with the coming of these major events Thailand tourism side will be back on the track and persuade more visitors to come to Thailand, not just for a short time but also for a long stay.
