These parks you go for jogging always surrounded by trees and fellow joggers who will greet you with smiles, so during your run you will feel refreshed and comfortable. And at this moment jogging is once again a trend in Thailand, many people start to take care of themselves more seriously that’s why light cardio exercises like jogging or Pilates are trending. You may wonder if you could really run in a city full of traffic and skyscrapers like Bangkok, the answer is “yes” there are many public parks in Bangkok for you to go and run each are easy to go because they are located near BTS or MRT. If you also like to run around the city, you can also run on the sidewalk, but I suggest you should start early or after 5 since Thailand is very hot during the day. So, the better choice is running in the park, here are parks that locals choose to be their exercise location not just for jogging but also for many different kinds of exercises like Yoga, cycling, some park may even provide sport courts such as badminton or basketball too.

1. Lumphini Park

  • Lumphini Park offers shaded trails, a serene lake, and a mix of locals practicing tai chi, cycling, or jogging. It’s safe, flat, and easily accessible by BTS. The distance is approximately 2.5 km loop around the main park area and contains multiple interconnected paths for longer runs.
  • Lumphini park can be busy during weekends, if you are looking for a peaceful run, I suggest you should come on weekdays. Or you can come around early morning (6–8 AM) or late afternoon (after 5 PM).
  • You also need to be careful while you run, since you might run into monitor lizards walking around the park.

2. Benjakitti Park

  • This park is a modern park with a central lake, cycling lanes, and jogging paths surrounded by palm trees. It also has an iconic bridge where you can walk around and see the beauty of the park and maybe take some photos.
  • The distance around the park is 1.8 km loop but if you are looking for a longer run you can run to Benjakitti Forest Park for up to 5 km run.
  • There are shared paths that you have to be careful of bicycles during the run.

3. Chatuchak Park & Queen Sirikit Park

  • Less touristy than Lumphini, these parks offer wide shaded paths, fountains, and morning energy from locals exercising. Great for long-distance training or casual runs.
  • The distance around the park is 3–4 km loops and can connect both parks for longer runs (up to 6–7 km)
  • Nearby Chatuchak Market provides post-run breakfast options.

4. Chulalongkorn University Jogging Path

  • The campus has a well-maintained jogging track surrounded by greenery. Often used by students, faculty, and local runners.
  • The distance around the park is approximately 2–3 km loop inside campus grounds.
  • Entrance may require visitor permission, check if open to the public.

5. Riverside Jogging

  • Running along the Chao Phraya River is refreshing, with views of ferries, temples, and city lights. Some stretches are newly developed with elevated paths and benches.
  • The distance is 3–6 km stretches along riverside walkways.

If you want to keep you exercising habits during vacation and you have no ideas of, where should you go for your exercise, these spots I just recommend you are the best locations you can go for a cardio during your time in Thailand. Each are unique in their own ways and surrounded by green trees and people which make your run more scenic.  This is proof that even in a city you can still find a peaceful place with refreshing atmosphere to relax and exercise in.
