Location
Coral Bay Resort is situated on Yai Noi Bay, north Chaweng Beach on the northeastern part of Koh Samui, about 10 minutes from the Samui airport.

Room
All our native style, thatched-roofed, wood and stone bungalows are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, skylight in the bathroom, hot/cold shower, complimentary toiletries, refrigerator and fully stocked mini bar, a personal electronic safe, storage closets and dressing table, a spacious interior and a huge private balcony commanding a view of extensive tropical gardens or the sea.
Standart Double Bangalow
The original, charming standard double bungalows are furnished with coconut wood and have an extra large 7-ft bed, a day bed for a third person or child and a 16 m2 balcony..
Deluxe Double Bangalow
These spacious bungalows have been newly renovated in an updated funky-chic style. They�fre equipped with an extra large 7-ft four-poster bed, a day bed for a third person or child and new furniture. The larger windows provide lots of light and there�fs a ceiling fan on the 20 m2 balcony.
Superior Family Bangalow
Newly renovated in funky chic style, these bungalows are situated towards the back of the property amidst lush gardens. The two bedrooms (at the front and back) are separated by a shared bathroom. The master bedroom has an extra large 7-ft four-poster bed while the second bedroom has two twin beds and a day bed. And of course there�fs a fan on the 20 m2 balcony.
Deluxe Family Bangalow
Located on the beach side of the property, these new bungalows are spacious with funky elegant furnishings. The two bedrooms are located side by side (duplex style). Each has its own entrance, an extra large 7-ft four-poster bed, a day bed, interconnecting doors, and a huge bathroom. The 30 m2 balconies (with ceiling fans) command exceptional sea views.
Baan Chomjan Luxury Villa
This luxurious villa (which literally means "moon-viewing house") was also named for the clusters of huge white moon flowers on the trellis in front of the house. They bloom daily in the late afternoon. Built of teak, local hardwood, sandstone and slate, the villa�fs design embodies a luxurious yet earthy, island-style country residence with a sea view to boot. It has a large 55 m2 master bedroom on the ground floor and two 32 m2 bedrooms upstairs. There are three bathrooms, one guest toilet, a living room, kitchen/dining area, den area with 50" projection TV and surround sound system, a spacious ground-floor terrace and large second-floor balcony. The beautifully appointed villa is fully air conditioned and is located in its own compound, has a private entrance, and commands spacious views over the pool to the sea.

Facility
HANGING OUT HERE
Being in paradise doesn�ft mean being bored! On site is a fresh water swimming pool (with children�fs section) over looking the sea plus ping pong and beach volleyball. The coral reef in the bay offers good snorkeling, fishing and shelling. The tiny island of Koh Matlang opposite the resort has an adjacent reef and is accessible by short long-tail boat or, at low tide, by wading. Snorkeling equipment and kayaks are available for rent, as are jeeps and motorbikes.
Video Theater
The video theater with its 61-inch projection screen is available throughout the day for those who can�ft live without their daily dose of satellite news broadcasts. Meanwhile watching the latest movies with our digital Dolby surround sound system creates the sense of being in a theater without having to leave the premises.
Eats & Drinks
Whether you�fre a carnivore or a vegetarian, a bon vivant or a teetotaler, you�fll find something to satisfy your needs on our extensive food and drink menu. Our guests often say we serve the best Thai food on the island. They appreciate that we don�ft tone down the flavors to satisfy westernized notions of Thai cuisine�cunless, of course, we�fre specifically requested to do so. Plus we use only the fresh coconut cream in our curries and cocktails.
(With 300 coconut trees on site, why buy the canned stuff?) At the Pakarang ("coral" in Thai) restaurant, you�fll never feel enclosed, whether dining indoors or al fresco on the wooden deck. Sipping an exotic cocktail (shaken, never stirred) at the Coco-rock Beach Bar is an ideal way to celebrate the end of yet another perfect day at Coral Bay Resort.
Spa & Gym
The funky modern Spa and Gym at Coral Bay Resort is currently under construction and will be open later this year offering a wide range of body care services.

Windsurfing, para-sailing, scooter and jet ski rentals are available on Chaweng beach around the corner from the resort's bay.
Shopping
Meanwhile, Koh Samui abounds in shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities. The streets of Chaweng, Lamai and Nathon are clogged with souvenir stalls that offer an assortment of wares ranging from tacky to terrific. Foodwise, resident expatriates from Italy, France and Germany are constantly opening (and often closing) all manner of restaurants in Chaweng, Bophut and Maenam. Some are actually fabulous!
Entertainment
Main nightlife areas on Chaweng beach and Lamai beach provide action such as Thai boxing, transvestite and cabaret shows, various bizarre night entertainment and dancing from dusk till dawn. The notorious Full Moon Night Party is still going strong in Koh Pha-ngan once a month.

Although this is rated as a 3 star bungalow resort, we have been staying here for the past 8 years. The only draw back are the bed mattresses they need to be replaced since most of them are quite soft. We would recommend the deluxe bungalow instead of the standard ones. The deluxe has more room and is in better condition. The staff are polite and helpful

Very nice hotel with rustic, thatched bungalows on a lovely property. Standard bungalow was modest and somewhat dated in decor but more than adequate for the price. The restaurant is very good and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Very nice pool and beach.

I have already recommended the Coral Bay Resort as a lovely place to go for a rest. We had some initial problems in our rooms: safes and an aircon that didn't work. After that, a delightful place.
