A tour desk offers a variety of sightseeing tours. There are a foreign exchange service plus sports and gift shops right near the lobby area. The resort has two swimming pools, two outdoor tennis courts, a riverside jogging track and a fully equipped fitness center, complete with massage and sauna facilities, as well as video games and snooker room. Several spectacular golf courses are nearby and the hotel regularly offers generous golfing packages for all golf enthusiasts. Swissotel River Kwai Felix Kanchanaburi's spacious grounds also house Western Thailand's largest convention center. This modern centre is an excellent venue for many styles of business and social functions for groups of up to 1,000 persons. Reviews
This is the best located hotel for visits to the Bridge on the River Kwai. If you are prepared to walk over the bridge then taxis to town and other sites are cheaper. If not then shuttles and taxis from the hotel may seem expensive.
The hotel tours desk was non-existent whilst we were there. They could not even be contacted by phone from the hotel staff who tried their best. They ended up arranging a local tour guide for us who proved excellent. Name and phone number can be given if anyone is interested.
