Special remark from the Hotel
The hotel will renovantion 60 rooms were completed last year and the 40 remaining rooms will be renovated this year. In order to minimize the disturbances. we have decided to close the entire Colonial Wing ( Zone A ) from June 15th to September 30, 2003.
Please rest assured that these renovations should not affect the quality of the stay of your customers since they will be accommodated in our Railway and Garden Wing.

Reviews
Hotel Sofitel is a hotel with both high class and a nice history. It gives a little extra to the guest to feel the winds of time walking down the shadowed walks around the hotel facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly, not every one speaks good English, but there is no lack of wishing to help every guest. (we learned that the hotel has English classes for all its staff). I would not only recommend it to a friend but also to my mother, my grandmother and my cousin with her two young children. Sofitel offers a lot of interesting courses and small shows every day for no extra cost. Such as cooking class, language class, fruit carving class, mountain bike tours, tennis lessons and so on. The garden is worth a visit. There are many big and beautiful trees cut into the shape of animals. The spa at the hotel is very good (and I mean v-e-r-y good because I'm picky) There are three (or maybe four) restaurants in the hotel area. We visited three of them and the food was excellent, a little bit expensive, but worth every penny. What else - they bring you cake on your birthday isn't that just lovely!

We stayed at "Pearl suite", which is thought not to be junior suite but is a real suite room. The atmosphere of the room and the view from the room were excellent. The room was nice, but the drainage of the bathroom was bad. In addition, a shower cap and cotton buds were not equipped.

A beautiful and nice hotel with effective and helpfull staff. The only thing that felt a bit irritating was that we had to ask for the extrabed that we had booked twice and the second time we called down for it they told us that they didn´t had any extrabeds left but they could offer us a mattress instead. When things like that happens in a hotel like this I take for granted that we sould have a discount. But we didn´t got that and not even an exuse.
