Reviews
Very poor quality hotel. Bed linen torn and sewn up. Bathroom towels grey and threadbare. Bath mats also grey and
with holes in them. Staff very surly and unfriendly. Breakfast almost inedible. Would not recommend to anyone.
Room had a funny smell which didn't go away in 6 days

I stayed two nights at this hotel in August 2002. I didn't get good impression of City Beach during my visit in Hua Hin. Rooms were ok but the linen weren't nice in the room. It was nice to have a balcony. The staff in the hotel's restaurant weren't friendly. They hardly talked at all for example when I said thank you after eating there. The breakfast was meager. Their pool was very small and there wasn't anybody at the pool bar during my visit so I decided to go to the beach which is located about 500m from the hotel. City Beach's location is quite good. There's shops and restaurants around the hotel. If you seek friendly staff and little bit luxury and comfort, I don't recommend this hotel to them. After all, it's ok if your visit is short or you don't need much from your accomodation.

I stayed at the City Beach in March 97 for the International Parachuting Competition at Phra Rama 6 Camp, Cha-Am. Nice hotel. Nice karaoke lounge. Friendly staff.
