Location
Thaton River View Resort today is 65 km from Chiand Mai by road. River cruise on bamboo rafts and long-tail-boat down to Chisng Rai are also available. Thaton is emergeing to become a new junction linking with Doi Mae Salong nad Golden Triangle by a new highway.
From here, it is easy to get acquainted with many hilltribes, Muser, Lisu, or Akha, all in their original habitat.

Room
The Comfort Resort Thaton River View composes of long bungalows and single houses scattered around the open space to provide privacy.
Each air-conditioned room is equipped with hot and cool showers, comfortable beds, single and double.
The house offer individual views and backdrop. For those staying in the bungalow, just looking up from your bed, the mountains and rivers come into full view.

Facility
In the early morning there could be nothing better than lounging at the table on the verandah, sipping warm coffee, watching streaks of thin fog fading away, from the hilltop.
The cool and soothing breeze is refreshing and reassuring. The sound made by the water against the shore is please as the song of nature.
The main building serves as the reception area and the restaurant, and is regarded as the assembling point for people in the area who head for the place for seafood, supplied daily from the Eastern province of Chonburi.
Seminars and parties are welcome. The seminar room, in a separate large house, is well equipped for the purpose.

Reviews
Our whole visit to Thailand was magical, and Thaton Riverview was the most magical place of all! The atmosphere is too beautiful to put into words. The staff was so friendly, and the food was great. I could have stayed there for months. Since there is not a lot of activity in the little town, you are forced to relax and soak in all that nature has to give. To add to the mystique, there was a meteor shower one night during our stay. The owner sat outside talking with us in the middle of the night watching shooting stars overhead. I never knew a place like this could exist.

The photos do not lie. This is a beautiful spot! The staff could not be friendlier. Everyone was very gracious, and spoke enough English to handle arrangements. The owner, Miss Chantana, spoke excellent English, having attended college in America. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Mine had a very casual "lodge" or "cabin" feel to it. great food too!
