Reviews
This was a gracious hotel with excellent staff. We had arrived on the night train from Bangkok and they invited us to the lounge for refreshments as they prepared our room. They also upgraded our room to a corner view room of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Enjoyed their small pleasant pool + had lunch one day overlooking the pool. The on-site travel agent was also great arranging airfare to Phuket + a tour to Doi Suthep. On-site restaurants & lounge were pleasant.

Surely we will recommend it to friends everything its good in this hotel, also the travel agency you can book the best things directly by side from the reception. We would like to stay 2 nights so we changed to stay 5 nights. All you like to see is in a short distance with Songthaew (the local-Taxi) or the the famous Tuk-Tuk - stinky but funny. Please for other Tourists, sorry about my written - english y'f never lernd it!!!

I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The carpets were new in room and throughout. The hotel was spotless and extremely impressive. For the $29 USD paid through asiarooms it was a great deal. I also thought they had a fabulous breakfast buffet with many choices and tasted good. They were crawling with employees that always wanted to greet you cheerfully and wait on you in every way possible.
I called hotel from airport as I saw many others being picked up by other hotels and saw a sign in rack for rep from Amity to hold. They said they would send someone right over (I couldn't remember if I'd requested transfer or not.) I had remembered reading something about 50 baht for transfer. I asked person on phone how much for tfr and they said no charge. Upon my departure they had a board listing all the TG flights and departure time for that flight. It also stated 50 bht for tfr. So even though nobody ever requested 50 baht I gave that amount to the driver who I assume would just have a tip. He was very appreciative. They had a nightly shuttle at 8:30 pm to Night Bazaar and return pick up at 10:30pm
The pool is somewhat small up on 2nd floor terrace but very nice looking. Never got a chance to use it anyway. The only complaint I'd have about this hotel is its somewhat non-central location. You have to take a Tuk Tuk or red truck taxi to get downtown or anywhere. The cost the hotel would tell me was about 80 baht. About $2.00 USD per trip. I usually could bargain the Tuk Tuk down to 60 baht at either end if you tried.
Lobby beautifully decorated and marble and Teak wood ceiling in Hiltribe decorations. Lobby lounge with live music each evening. This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn and was called Holiday Inn Green Hills.
The staff was the most welcoming and every single person the most cheerful and attentive I'd ever seen. The TV cable only had one English channel (CNN) also MTV but sound was barely there so what's the point of music channel with bad sound. Oh also a sports channel in English. The air cond was good with individual room temp control. Bathroom new fixtures and spotless with granite sink counter and tub and shower nice.
I would highly recommend unless you must be able to walk to the things in town. But for 1.50 to 2.00 USD for a taxi it wasn't too bad.
